The practice of making New Year's resolutions is nearly as old as civilization itself.

Ancient Romans began each year by making promises to the god Janus, for whom the month of January is named. The god of beginnings, endings, transitions, and passageways, Janus' two faces look to the future and to the past. As a movement, we must resolve to strengthen our resistance to any effort to suppress the vote, deny educational economic opportunities or roll back civil rights protections. We are already seeing success in the new year with the dissolution of the sham Voter Fraud Commission.

Let’s keep the pressure on.
